Falmouth has a proud and long history as a first safe port of call for deep-water sailing ships. It was here that sailors filled our waterside alehouses with their songs and it is here that those shanties and stories are kept alive to this day. Falmouth Classics features three days of enjoyable racing and a spectacular Parade of Classic Boats and the Small Classic Boat Parade. Since it began, in 1987, Falmouth Classics has steadily grown to be one of the largest Classic sailing events in the UK.

Falmouth Oyster Festival

Timed to coincide with the start of the oyster harvesting season, this annual festival celebrates one of the last remaining oyster fisheries to dredge under sail & oar.
Festival includes cookery demonstrations, oyster tasting, local craft and produce markets and working boat races.

Falmouth’s Princess Pavilion plays host to one of the largest and best beer festivals in the South West, organised by CAMRA Kernow (Cornwall’s branch of the Campaign for Real Ale). All tastes will be catered for with 200 or more real ales and 60+ real ciders available
